Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search box is submitted to the third-party results provider. Fall River Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you send a message, we receive the information in that message and use it to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Hosting systems can create ordinary server logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and time of visit. We review this information in aggregate for security, service reliability, and general readership patterns. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How Limited Data Is Used
We use the limited data described here to operate the reference, repair problems, measure general traffic, and improve its pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Outside Websites and Tools
Links lead to Fall River, Massachusetts, and other official portals, plus library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. The policy of the destination service governs information submitted there. That includes the provider of sponsored search results.
When Data May Be Shared
Hosting and support providers process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information only when required by valid legal process or as otherwise described in this policy.
Safeguards for Site Data
The reference uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described above. Because there are no user accounts, the site does not maintain a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Information Choices
You may ask about access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information that this reference retains. Because the site keeps very little, we review the contact mailbox and applicable logs, then remove information where appropriate. Use the Contact page to make a request. Public records held by Fall River, Bristol County, or Massachusetts custodians are outside our control. Their release is governed by Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66 §10 and c.4 §7(26), together with record-specific protections such as M.G.L. c.9A and 950 CMR 130.00 for the Address Confidentiality Program and M.G.L. c.51 §51A for confidential voters.
Policy Updates
We will post revisions to this policy here. Continued use after a posted revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
